Books - It seems I've been reading books for almost as long as I can remember. I remember the first grownup novel I read at age seven. I don't treat them with the best of care but I love them dearly for all the happy hours of entertainment and knowledge. - Books
Poetry - I am a poet. That's just what I do and who I am. Not Sylvia Plath by any means but I have made peace with that. Poetry is more than a bunch of pretty words or meaningless phrases stuck together, it has power in the right hands. Words have power. Too bad that today's society usually can care less about poetry. - Books
Tom Riddle/Voldemort (Harry Potter) - Tom Riddle is the epitome of evil. Redemption? Pfft. What's that? What's more is that he has a very human side that you don't get to see in other villains. Sure he becomes Lord Voldemort but he feels a range of emotions and acts on them. I've written fanfiction after fanfiction about this boy, this sixteen-year-old boy and it never gets old. Lord Voldemort is fascinating, as well. One-track mind but, eh, we can't all be perfect. - Characters: Book & Movie
Alice in Wonderland - This book has gotten me through hospital visits and many dull times. Alice and her adventures have the power to captivate me and have had that power since I was a girl. - Books
Alice (Alice in Wonderland) - Lewis Carroll's most famous character, Alice, came to life in a tale that engaged his own Alice's fancy. Alice is famous in her blue dress and white pinafore, caught up in her adventures and strange in her need for logic in wonderland. - Characters: Book & Movie
Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes Stories) - Ah, Sherlock Holmes. The first and greatest literary detective that ever lived. His amazing powers of observation still leave readers today fascinated. At least they do me. - Characters: Book & Movie
Sylvia Plath - Sylvia Plath helped me get through my first years of writing. "Daddy" is my favorite poem. - Authors & Writers
